    How to merge PDF documents

    1. Choose your PDFsSelect at least two local PDF files. Add more with the same button; each checked file shows its page count.
    2. Set the file orderUse Move up, Move down or Remove. Every page of each remaining file is included, in its original within-file order.
    3. Merge and checkSelect Merge PDF, inspect the generated pages, then download. Open the saved PDF and check every source document.

    Combine PDF

    The order stays visible

The numbered file list is the merge sequence. Adding the same document twice repeats its pages. Changing the list removes the old result until you merge again.

    Keep the original page sizes

Pages keep their source dimensions, crop boxes and rotation. Letter and A4 pages can share one PDF. This tool does not fit every page to a new paper size or turn text pages into screenshots.

    Scans remain page images

An image-only scanned PDF can be combined with text-based PDFs. Merging does not run OCR or make printed words selectable. It does not sharpen, compress or repair the source pages.

    Support and limits

    Input and processing limits

Choose 2–20 unencrypted PDFs, at most 50 MiB combined, 200 combined pages and 20,000 combined PDF objects. Output is limited to 100 MiB. Each checking or merge operation has a 60-second stop limit. Device memory can impose lower practical limits.

    Whole files, one download

This page combines every page of the listed files into one PDF. It does not select individual pages, split documents, import folders or URLs, or generate separate outputs. Input originals are not changed.

    Files that stop conversion

Encrypted or damaged files, fillable forms, signatures, certification restrictions, comments, non-link annotations, internal PDF navigation, layers, portfolios, attachments and document actions are not supported. A rejected new selection is not added; already checked files remain in the list. No partial output is offered as complete.

    Document features to review

Ordinary HTTP, HTTPS and email link annotations are allowed. Source bookmarks, page labels, accessibility tags and document-level metadata are not rebuilt in the new PDF. Review the downloaded pages and links; the supplied tests do not establish compatibility with every PDF or archival format.

    Test files and results

    Tested on: October 26, 2026

We selected these original English PDFs in this tool, downloaded the merged files, opened and rendered every output page, and compared each page with its source. In these fixed cases, page contents, dimensions, crop boxes, rotation, link targets and embedded image data matched. Page renders also matched at 90 dpi.

Inputs and orderActual PDF downloadObserved result
    Two-page Letter report + rotated A4 appendixOrdered three-page PDF
    2,410 bytes
Three pages in report/report/appendix order. Source page sizes, crop box, 90-degree rotation, all text and three external link annotations retained.
The same two files; moved the appendix above the reportReordered three-page PDF
    2,409 bytes
Three pages in appendix/report/report order. The old download disappeared when the list changed; merging created a result in the new order.
Image-only receipt + text memoScan and memo PDF
    58,825 bytes
Two pages in the selected order. The receipt image data was unchanged and still had no text layer; the memo kept its selectable source text.

Adding the memo twice produced two copies of that page; removing a file cleared the previous result. A separate 390-pixel browser-width run completed file selection, keyboard merging, preview and download. Its page contents, boxes, rotation and images matched the desktop output. This was not a physical-phone test. These checks apply to the supplied files, not every PDF.

Encrypted, fillable-form, internal-link, damaged, 201-page, over-50-MiB, wrong-format and 21-file selections were rejected without an output. Successful maximum-size runs, object/output/time boundaries, physical-phone use, physical file dragging, email links and real digital signatures were not tested.

    Local processing and privacy

    Your files and output

Your PDFs, file names and merged document are processed in this browser, not uploaded to a conversion service. Conversion components load from this site. There is no account, saved conversion history, daily conversion quota or added watermark.

    Page requests and clearing files

Page delivery and analytics are separate requests, described in our privacy policy. Document contents, file names and conversion results are not sent as analytics events. Use Clear files or close the page when finished; downloaded files remain on your device.

    Frequently asked questions

Why did the download disappear after I changed the file list?

The previous PDF represented the old order. Merge again after adding, removing or moving files so the new download matches the visible list.

Why is the combined PDF larger than I expected?

The output is a new document containing the source page resources. Merging is not compression, and it does not promise a smaller total size.

Can I combine a signed or fillable PDF?

No. These files are rejected. Combining pages cannot preserve the original document's digital signature or interactive form behavior; keep that original separately.

Can I merge only certain pages?

This page includes whole files. It does not offer page-range selection or split the result into separate documents.
