Contact
There is one email address for everything to do with this site, and it is read by the person who built it.
There is no contact form, no phone number and no live chat — this address is it.
What to write about
- The converter got something wrong. Wrong headings, text in the wrong order, lines joined together, lists not detected.
- The converter did nothing. It said the PDF had no text layer, or it failed with an error message.
- Something on the site is broken. A dead link, a page that does not load, a layout that falls apart on your screen.
- Privacy or advertising questions. Including anything you want clarified about the privacy policy.
- Corrections. If something on this site is factually wrong, say so — it gets fixed.
How to make your email answerable
The single most important thing to know about this site is that nobody here can see your PDF. Files are converted inside your browser and never uploaded, which means there is no copy on this end to look at. That is good for your privacy, but it does mean a message saying only "it doesn't work" cannot be investigated.
So please include:
- What you did — which page, which button, whether you dragged the file or picked it from the file dialog.
- What you expected and what you got. A short pasted snippet of the Markdown output is far more useful than a description of it.
- The structure of the PDF, if the problem looks like a layout issue: is it one column or several? Does it contain tables? Is it a scan or a digital export? Roughly how many pages?
- Your browser and operating system — for example "Safari on iPhone" or "Chrome on Windows 11".
- The exact wording of any error message.
What this address cannot help with
- Converting a file for you. There is no server-side converter behind this site, and no way to accept a file by email.
- OCR or scanned documents. The homepage PDF to Markdown converter does not do OCR — see the guide for what happens instead. The separate PDF to Text tool offers optional local OCR for English and Simplified Chinese + English. Its page explains the tested errors and limits; we cannot receive or convert your scanned document for you.
- Recovering output you have lost. Nothing is stored anywhere, so a closed tab means the result is gone. Download the
.mdfile if you want to keep it.
About the reply
This is a one-person site, so replies come from one person and are not instant. Messages that describe a reproducible problem are the easiest to act on, and they get priority over general questions.
Before sending a question about scope or ownership, read who runs PDFMDTools and what the tools support.
